A blank page is not empty.
It is possibility. The rest of the work is deciding what deserves to land on it.
People treat an empty page as a problem to solve quickly. Fill it. Cover it. Look busy. The anxiety is understandable. Emptiness looks like you have not started.
We think the opposite. A blank page is the most honest state a product can be in. Nothing has been faked yet. No one has decorated a weak idea.
The discipline is what you allow onto the page, and in which order. A thought. Then a structure. Then a thing someone can use. Skip a step and you get a polished surface with nothing underneath, which is most of the internet.
This is not an argument for slowness as a personality. It is an argument for sequence. Strategy before interface. Interface before the stack you happen to like this year. The stack will change. The page, if it was thought through, can survive that.
When we begin with a team, we would rather hear an unfinished sentence than a deck. Unfinished means there is still room. A finished presentation is often just a page that got scared.
